WEDNESDAY AFTERSCHOOL TUTORIAL

THE STUDENT COUNCIL OF THE SCIENCE ACADEMY OF STISD is proud to inform you that we are trying to get after school tutorial on Wednesdays, if you have any information that would be useful, or if you just want to express your opinion on the subject then go ahead. We look forward to you comments. So, let us ask the question. Should we have after school tutorial?

    yeah i agree that they should reinstate the after school ootion on Wednesday, but wasnt the reason that they got rid of the Wednesday tutorials because the school was trying to save money on gas?

    There are many things an educational institution should be; cheap is not one of them. The school district should invest in valuable resources, and time is the most valuable resource there is. Obviously, we need to remind the school board of this fact.

    I think that the after school activities are too conflicted with each other with only two days to meet after school per week; people are often stressed on over which club or event they should go to and thus have to miss out on some activities simply because they can only go to one or the other.

    I think we should have afterschoool at least three days a week if not more. BETA and STPA still have it everyday and i think we should too.

    We've had many cuts in the past couple of years (most noticeably in food serving), but this conflicts with the learning process...
    Beta still has Wednesday tutorial, why is it that we, as an STISD school, don;t have the money?

    I asked mr. Garcia this morning why we canceled wed. tuturial and at first he said for monetary reasons and then he said it just sticked. SOO that means that we can have it or should have it again gas prices went waaay down, so i dont see why not. But another thing i learned is today is that chageing it now would only benifit next year students because they have the budget set out for this school year. :(
